Cool Temps For St. Patrick’s Day!
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Cooler temperatures remain for St. Patrick’s Day before a big warming trend pushes into the area for the rest of this week.
St. PATRICK’S DAY: High pressure has moved into the area from the west which has helped get rid of the cloud cover that we saw on Monday. It will still remain a bit cold as afternoon temperatures will reach right around 50. If you have any plans this evening keep the jacket with you as temperatures will drop into the 40’s.
TONIGHT: Cloud cover will increase to mostly cloudy skies as lows drop down to 30.
REST OF THIS WEEK: A slight rain chance will be in play for Wednesday morning, but after that the main story will be a big warming trend for the rest of the week. The trough that has given us colder temperatures will move off to the east as a big upper level ridge pattern begins to slowly move in from out west. In response, expect dry conditions for the rest of this week and temperatures to warm up quickly! We will rise a couple degrees above our average high of 70 starting on Thursday, getting hot by this weekend with temperatures in the 80s!
