UPDATE: Two people face charges following the shooting of a 3-year-old

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Two people are being charged after a 3-year-old was shot in Columbus.
Demarco Brewer and Shemar Glaspie are each charged with one count of child endangerment.
The incident happened Monday in the 400 block of 15th Ave South.
According to Columbus Police Chief Joesph Daughtry, Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle notified officers about a juvenille being shot.
The toddler was airlifted to another hospital for treatment.
Brewer was taken into custody Monday night.
Glaspie allegedly is dating the child’s mother. CPD named him a person of interest in the case. Glaspie turned himself into police.
There is no word yet on the child’s condition.
This is an ongoing investigation.
