Police investigate a fatal shooting in Tupelo
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo Police are investigating at least two shootings that happened overnight.
One of those proved to be fatal.
Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green told WCBI that the shooting happened around midnight Tuesday in the area of Lambard Street and George Avenue in Tupelo.
This is in the Bristow Acres area.
Green says 19-year-old Marzee Ford the Third died at the scene.
Ford’s body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Pearl for an autopsy.
The shooting is still under investigation.
