Police investigate a shooting that killed a DeSoto Co. teen
TUNICA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A DeSoto County teen is dead, and the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office is looking for answers.
At around 2:30 am on Sunday, August 9, Tunica County deputies responded to a shots-fired call in the area of Lakeside Vintage Apartments in the Robinsonville area.
The suspect sped away from the scene. Deputies caught up with the vehicle, but the suspect ran from the scene. Deputies recovered the vehicle and a firearm.
Around 2:15 Sunday afternoon, the sheriff’s office received a call that someone had been shot on Harrah’s Parkway South Extended near Lakeside Vintage Apartments. They found the victim, identified as 18-year-old Justin Davis, in a wooded area nearby. He had reportedly been shot multiple times.
Davis, a Senior at Lake Cormorant High School, died of his injuries.
