Tupelo man accused of beating his significant other
LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Tupelo man is in the Lee County Jail, accused of beating his significant other.
Tupelo Police were called to a disturbance at a home on Pemberton Avenue on Friday.
When they got there, they found the victim and the suspect. The victim reportedly had visible injuries and told officers they had been assaulted by the suspect.
The two had previously been in a dating relationship.
The suspect, Donny Deaton, was arrested and charged with one count of burglary of an occupied dwelling and one count of aggravated domestic violence.
Deaton’s bond has been set at $80,000.
