Woman charged with one count of embezzlement in Lafayette Co.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An Oxford woman has been charged with one count of embezzlement for allegedly failing to deliver furniture after a client had paid for it.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office said 38-year-old Sunny Baddour was arrested after an individual reported they had ordered and paid for multiple pieces of furniture from Hazel Bleu Designs.
The complainant reported paying Baddour more than $8,500 for furniture that they never received. They also claim Baddour quit communicating with them.
Baddour was arrested after a warrant was issued. She is charged with one count of embezzlement.
Her bond has been set at $20,000.
