A man is facing federal charges in Carroll Co.

CARROLL COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Carroll County man, already under arrest on state charges, is now facing charges for Federal crimes as well.
A warrant was issued for Jason Schamont Green in July after a video circulated on social media reportedly showed him making what were described as terroristic threats towards Carroll County Deputies.
Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested Green in Memphis later that month, and at the time he reportedly had a firearm.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives filed a Federal firearms charge against Green.
He was booked into the Carroll County Jail on the original state charge of Making Terroristic Threats Against Law Enforcement and was released on an $80,000 bond.
On Thursday, August 6, Green was indicted by a Federal grand jury for Possession of a Weapon by a Felon. He was arrested on Wednesday, August 12, in Vaiden on the Federal indictment.
He was ordered to be held without bond.
