Longtime North MS lawman Billy Voyles passes away
CICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A longtime North Mississippi lawman has passed away.
In a Facebook post, the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office announced that Constable Billy Voyles had died.
Voyles had a long career in law enforcement in Chickasaw County.
He retired as Chief of the Houston Police Department in 2021. He had served in the position for 15 years and was the last elected Chief in the city.
He would go on to be elected Constable in Chickasaw County, and was serving in that role at the time of his death.
Memorial Funeral Home in Houston is handling final arrangements.
