Solid social media strategy helps A Lux Boutique boost brick and mortar traffic

“A lot of people know we are here from seeing the Bronco, and we are known as the Pink Bronco Boutique,” said Amara Rogers, who  started A Lux Boutique from a bedroom in her parents home in 2023.   From there,  she moved into a storage unit, but quickly needed a larger, more visible space.  That is when she moved into the Renasant Center for Ideas in 2025.   This January,  A Lux Boutique moved into an even larger space in the building.

Part of her marketing strategy has included building a bridge to customers through social media.   By using platforms like Facebook, Instragram and Tik Tok,  Amara didn’t just post photos of clothing and accessories,  she built a digital community.

“I put a lot of time into planning my posts, a lot of people don’t think it takes that long, but it really does, you can’t just post anything, have to be thoughtful, creative, has to catch people’s attention, I try and post about 10 to 12 posts a day, depending on what we have and if I have gotten anything in that day I think needs to be posted,” said Rogers.

That digital strategy has paid off, expanding A Lux Boutique’s reach throughout Northeast Mississippi, and into all fifty states.

Although she is only 22, Amara Rogers says she has learned a lot about running a small business,  and looks forward to each day , with new challenges, and opportunities.

“You definitely have to put your all into it, your customers will follow you, and support you, and really pay attention to them and it helps your boutique grow, what they like in a person and boutique will help your business take off,” Rogers said.

For Amara Rogers and A Lux boutique,  a solid social media strategy not only drives customers through the door, but also leads to lifelong customers and friends.

Rogers says she would like to eventually move to a larger location, but stay in the downtown Tupelo area if possible.
