UPDATE: Victim in fatal shooting identified

VERONA, Miss. (WCBI) – We now know the name of the person killed in a shooting in Verona Wednesday.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green has identified the victim as 29-year-old Timothy Price II.

Price was shot Wednesday afternoon at the Super C on Raymond Avenue in Columbus.

He was rushed to the hospital but died of his injuries.

Price’s body has been sent to the State Crime Lab in Pearl for autopsy.

Verona Police are still investigating the shooting.
