Webster County man arrested in Arkansas after early morning shooting

MABEN, Miss. (WCBI) –

A man wanted for a shooting in Oktibbeha County has been arrested in Arkansas.

Police from McGehee and Dumas, Arkansas arrested Jonathan Frost of Webster County after a short chase.

Frost was wanted for a shooting that happened early Tuesday morning in Maben.

Around 5:20 AM, Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting at 1922 Highway 15 in Maben.

They found a victim who had been injured.

He received life-saving treatment by Oktibbeha County Volunteer Firefighters and MedStat Ambulance personnel.

He was airlifted for further treatment.

Investigators got an arrest warrant for Frost.

He was captured at 11:00 Tuesday morning.
