Booneville Woman Pleads Guilty To Wire Fraud

OXFORD, MS) WCBI – A Booneville woman could spend 20 years in federal prison after admitting she took nearly a quarter million dollars from a Booneville plant.
47 year old Rebecca Crawford has pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud in connection with the theft from Acco Brands of Booneville.   Court documents show Crawford, who was a fleet supervisor in the logistics department, took just under 230 thousand dollars from the company.  Crawford would write Comchecks made payable to both herself and her husband Kimble Crawford and then cash those checks.  Comchecks are a form of wire transfer that trucking companies use to provide expense money to truck drivers while they are on the road.  Crawford is set to be sentenced in March. She could be fined a quarter million dollars and ordered to repay the stolen money on top of the possible 20 year jail term.
