Columbus PD Investigating Shooting at Townsend Center

COLUMBUs, Miss. (WCBI) — The Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened around 7 Sunday night.

According to CPD it started as an altercation between two people in the parking lot during a birthday party at the Townsend Community Center.

Shots were fired injuring one person who was brought to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

MUW was locked down for about two hours because of the incident.

One suspect is in custody. Another is on the loose.

Columbus PD continues to investigate.
