Update: Missing Prisoner Recaptured

YALOBUSHA COUNTY, MS (WCBI) – A 3 county manhunt ended late Friday afternoon.

Steven Dukes was recaptured after nearly a week on the run.  Dukes was under house arrest on charges from Lafayette County and was living at a residence on Hwy 32 east of Water Valley when he disappeared Monday.  New Albany Police, Union County deputies and MDOC officers got a lead that Dukes was in Union County but he slipped away early Friday afternoon. Authorities caught up with him later Friday afternoon.  The Yaloubusha  Sheriff’s Department expressed their thanks to all of the Law Enforcement agencies that assisted in the capture, and to residents for their information.
