MHP Investigating Chickasaw County Accident

CHICKASAW CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – MHP responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident on MS 32 near Van Vleet at 2:46 PM Wednesday afternoon.

A blue 1995, Honda Accord was traveling east on MS 32. The Honda left the roadway to the right, the driver over corrected her steering which caused the Honda to drift into the westbound lane and collide into a Black,  2012  Toyota 4-runner traveling west.

The Honda continued east and overturned off the north shoulder of MS 32, the Toyota pulled onto the shoulder of MS 32 after being struck.

The driver of the Honda, 28 year old Quintis Q. Strong of Tupelo suffered minor injuries and was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

The driver of the Toyota, 56 year old Maria R. Legal of Eupora was uninjured in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation by MHP.
