Video: Police Reach Out to the Elderly

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) –The Aberdeen Police Department and its auxiliary unit is making sure the elderly at one senior home are kept warm on cool evenings.

Residents of the Aberdeen Care Center on Jackson Street are sure to feel a little more love from their local police.

Officers delivered gifts to seniors at the Aberdeen home.

“Some throws and some T-shirts and some socks. It was just our way of giving back to our community here in Aberdeen. Sometimes we overlook our elderly and this was one of the ways that we could actually give back and do something positive for the community,” said Chief Henry Randle, Aberdeen Police Department.
