Monroe County, Miss. (WCBI) — Monroe County deputies involved in a deadly shooting will not be charged or appear in court.
Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said the Grand Jury ruled no true bill, and that a Mississippi Bureau of Investigation presentation showed the officers were in the line of duty.
No true bill means there is no probable cause that a crime was committed.
Last October, deputies executed a search warrant at Sizemore Road because of a tip that Ricky Keeton was involved in the drug trade.
A deputy was reportedly shot by Keeton, who was later shot and killed by deputies.
