Oxford Police Investigate Aggravated Assault

OXFORD, MS (WCBI) – Oxford Police are also investigating an early morning assault in the city.

Just after midnight this morning, police were called to a Robinson Road home where a man had been beaten with a baseball bat.

30-year-old Kevin Pegues is charged with aggravated assault in the case.

The victim was airlifted to a Memphis hospital with head and facial injuries but is expected to recover.
