Video: Speakers Urge Citizens To Remember Meaning Of Memorial Day

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — The Oddfellows Cemetery served as a fitting backdrop as Aberdeen remembered some of Monroe County’s war dead.  Sheriff Cecil Cantrell was the guest speaker at the ceremony. Cantrell says he is glad people want to remember America;s military but says people need to take a special look at Memorial day because it is designed specifically to remember those who died n the line duty.  Aberdeen focused its program on the solemn remembrance with the playing of taps and the presentation of a folded flag.
