Update: Deadly Fire Under Investigation

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — Fire investigators are still looking into what caused a deadly blaze near the Monroe County courthouse Friday night.

Aberdeen Fire Chief Frank Gladney says he and the fire marshals will return to the scene Monday to determine the cause of the fire.

The Dudley Williams Law Firm was destroyed in the fire.

It is believed the body found is of former city attorney Dudley Williams, but Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley says an autopsy will be done Monday to confirm the identity.
