LEE COUNTY, Miss. – (WCBI) A Verona man is in jail after being arrested on drug charges.

Lee County deputies arrested Michael Benton at his apartment Friday. Deputies say they recovered cocaine, scales, a firearm and more than a $1,000 in cash.

He is charged with possession with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Bond is set at $30,000.
