Video: Monroe Deputies Uncover Stolen Items

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Thousands of dollars worth of stolen items have been recovered in Monroe County.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department recovered the items a few days ago.

Some of the items recovered are copper wire, tools, baseball cards, and other types of equipment.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says an investigation led them to the items that they believe were stolen for drug money.

“We just want to get it back to the rightful owners of who it belongs to, and make sure that they get it back because it’s theirs, and it doesn’t belong to drug dealers,” says Cantrell.

Sheriff Cantrell says all of the items belong to Monroe County residents.

He also says residents missing the stolen items can stop by the Sheriff’s Department, or call them to recover the items.
