Aberdeen Leaders Approve Purchase of Body Cameras

ABERDEEN, Miss. – (WCBI) Add Aberdeen to the growing list of area law agencies outfitting their officers with body cameras.

Alderman have apporved the purchase of 10 cameras for the department.

Police Chief Henry Randle says with the increased awareness of officer involved shootings it makes sense to provide the video tape evidence for both officers and citizens.

Aldermen are considering one model that costs $120 that the Chief says performs as well as other more expensive models.
