COLUMBUS, Miss. (Press Release) — Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle has named Pam Richardson as its new chief financial officer. Richardson has worked at Baptist Golden Triangle since 2002 as both assistant controller and controller.

She replaces David Webb, who took a similar job in South Carolina. Former Assistant Controller Thomas Steadman will replace Richardson as Controller.

A native of Columbus, Richardson is a 1994 graduate of Columbus High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mississippi University for Women.

At Baptist Golden Triangle, Richardson is responsible for several departments including patient financial services, medical records, information systems, admissions, case management and materials management. She also serves as the hospital’s chief privacy officer and compliance officer.

Richardson has a strong background in finance working as a staff accountant at T.E. Lott and Company in Columbus and a Trust Accountant at NBC in Columbus before coming to Baptist.

“When we began looking to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer, we realized that we already had the best qualified person already working for us right upstairs,” said Administrator and CEO Paul Cade. “We are excited to have Pam join our senior management team. We know she will do an excellent job in her new role as chief financial officer,” he added.

Richardson lives in Columbus and in her free time enjoys spending time with her family and her dog. She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Managers Association.
