Police Arrest Man for Domestic Violence

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A Starkville man is arrested, accused of shooting his girlfriend.

The incident happened last Wednesday at the Cedar Cove apartments in Starkville.

Investigators are charging Antonio McCarter with domestic violence – aggravated assault, after they say he shot the woman in the back of the head.

The victim was treated and released from a nearby hospital.

McCarter was arrested Monday, and has since been released from jail on a $10,000 bond.

He’ll make his first court appearance in October.
