MABEN, Miss. (WCBI) – East Mississippi Community College could soon offer college-level classes at West Oktibbeha County High School. The Starkville School District and EMCC have agreed on the plan but the governing boards must approve the deal.

General testing, along with the college-level classes are expected to be offered at the Maben campus.

A price is unclear at this point, but a five year lease is expected.

Under the plan, EMCC would pay for utilities, insurance, upkeep, and security.

The West Oktibbeha campus is scheduled to close when Starkville and Oktibbeha County schools merge this summer.
