The Enterprise of Mississippi Will No Longer Represent Montgomery County
WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The economic development group, The Enterprise of Mississippi, is now only representing two counties.
Last week, Montgomery County Supervisors voted not to renew their partnership with the organization.
The vote gives Webster and Choctaw Counties an official 30-day notice of the split.
The three counties first came together under the leadership of the Enterprise in 2013.
“Choctaw and Webster County Leadership and the Board of Supervisors are going to continue to support ‘The Enterprise’ for their economic development efforts. We’re going to continue working with our existing industries, and preparing sites that will lead to industrial recruitment prospects,” says Enterprise Executive Director, Lara Bowman.
The Enterprise will be representing Montgomery County through the rest of the month.
Bowman says the county didn’t give a reason for their decision.
