Video: State Politicians Talk Debate

NETTLETON, Miss. (WCBI) – We talk to some local politicians about what we should expect to hear from Monday night’s debate, and what they’re looking forward to seeing in the historical debate.

“I think that they’ll focus on economic development, that’ll be at the forefront. They’ll talk a whole lot about foreign policy. We have so many enemies around the world who are attacking us, so there’s been multiple bombings in the last few weeks, so I think that will be one of the major components of tonight’s speeches,” says Mississippi Senator, Chad McMahan, (R), District 6.

“Maybe the most classic in the history of presidential debates, and the race is tightening up, and the country has got to make a decision, and I don’t think there will be a better opportunity to see the real differences in the two candidates, and see where you want America to go, and so I just advise folks to tune in. I think it’s that important,” says Mississippi Representative, Steve Holland, (D), District 16.
