Video: Monroe County Murder Convict Loses Supreme Court Appeal
JACKSON (WCBI) – A Monroe County man will remain in prison for the murder of his wife. The State Supreme Court Thursday said it will not revisit a lower court ruling on David Parvin’s murder conviction.

PARVIN
Parvin was convicted in 2014 of shooting his wife Joyce to death inside their Monroe County home. He appealed that conviction saying the verdict went against the evidence in the case and that improper evidence was allowed. The Mississippi Court of Appeals rejected those arguments in February 2016. Parvin’s lawyers appealed that verdict to the State Supreme court which says it will not take any action . He is currently serving a life sentence.
