Sex Offender Compliance Check Arrest

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Lowndes County investigators are continuing to do sex offender compliance checks.

Recently, the U.S. Marshals had to find two men on the list.

Joe Taylor, 33, and Devirio Frierson, 27, are both charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Frierson is also facing violation of his federal probation.

Investigators say there is an ongoing sexual offender compliance check throughout the county. Law enforcement are making sure the offenders are living where they registered or making sure they register with law enforcement.

U.S. Marshals are assisting when an offender cannot be found.
