Suspected Winston County Night Club Shooter Arrested

WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- The man accused of shooting a security guard in Winston County is taken into custody today.

31 year-old Lance Earnest surrendered to the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department.

He will be charged with aggravated assault in Winston County.

The shooting happened at the Spotlight Lounge this past Sunday morning.

A concert was being held at the location at the time of the shooting.

Security workers were trying to get an argument under control when at least one shot was fired from a handgun.

Earnest was in the process of being returned to Winston County this afternoon.
