Fire Overtakes A Starkville Apartment Building

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A kitchen fire turns into a structural fire at a Starkville apartment complex, leaving several homeless.

Starkville Fire Chief Charles Yarbrough says firefighters got a call around 10:30 Thursday night.

A cooking fire in an apartment at Brookville Garden spread quickly through the complex.

The fire jumped from structure to structure, damaged the entire building, and caused power to be shut down.

Flames displaced people living in four apartments.

Chief Yarbrough says everyone made it out safe, and the fire was put out quickly..
