VIDEO: Walk for Alzheimers
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- $10,000 is the amount raised Saturday morning from the Alzheimer’s Mississippi walk in Columbus.
More than a hundred Columbus residents walked and ran to raise money for care, support and research for those impacted by the disease.
The walk was held in the Plantation Pointe Subdivision.
According to Alzheimer’s Mississippi, 53,000 Mississippians have the disease. And, there are more than 200,000 Alzheimer caregivers across the state.
Saturday’s walk is one of six Alzheimer’s Mississippi holds throughout the state.
