Troopers Investigate Fatal Crash

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- An early morning crash Sunday claims the life of a 20-year-old man and leaves another in the hospital.

Troopers say Phillip Hendricks Jr., of Eupora, was killed after the 2011 Jeep Wrangler he was driving, crossed from the northbound lane of Highway 9 to the southbound lane, and overturned.

It happened just south of Chaney Road in Choctaw County.

William Gilbert II, 27, was taken to OCH in Starkville.

Troopers say the two did not have seat belts on.

The accident remains under investigation.
