Hundreds Gather To Remember Fallen Player, Moe Hardin

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- The Choctaw County community came together Monday night to remember a classmate, teammate, and friend.

Hundreds gathered at the Choctaw County High School Football Field to remember Moe Hardin.

The popular football and baseball player died last week from complications following a liver transplant.

Those at Monday’s ceremony say they choose to remember how Moe lived.

“It’s just amazing because our son was a humble child. He had all kinds of friends. Didn’t matter if you were black, green, yellow, purple. Brothers. That’s what he called them. The football team, his brothers. Baseball team his brothers. He just was enjoying life,” said Penny Hardin, Moe’s mother.

Moe’s funeral will be Saturday at 11 at the TY Cobb auditorium.
