VIDEO: Absentee Voting in Oktibbeha County

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Absentee voting continues for Tuesday’s special election in Oktibbeha County.

Voters will decide several races, including circuit and chancery court clerks, District 1 Constable, the hospital referendum, and District 38 State Representative.

Interim Circuit Clerk Angie McGinnis says 455 absentee ballots have already been cast, and she expects that number to be more than 500 by Saturday.

“We were really happy yesterday afternoon, when we got that 455 count, because it all balanced out against the number that we had applications for, it balanced at against all of our records.”

Saturday is the last day to cast an absentee ballot for Tuesday’s election.
