Man Pleads Guilty To Lee County Murder

LEE COUNTY (WCBI)- 15 years in prison for the man who killed a Lee County woman.

Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson says David Wayne Fisher III admitted in court Thursday he killed Lynda Pope Reed and then buried her body in a shallow grave in the Northeast corner of Lee County.  Reed’s remains were found in April of this year. Fisher and the victim had been in a relationship prior to her death.  Fisher received a 40 year sentence with 25 suspended but must serve each day of the 15 years remaining.
