Video: Noxubee Shooting Victim Identified

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Investigators have released the name of the man shot to death in Noxubee County, while a person of interest remains in jail.

Christopher Scott turned himself in to deputies after being named a person of interest in the investigation.

He has not been officially charged, at this time.

Deputies were called to Church Street in Shuqualak about 6:30 PM on Thursday about a shooting.

Noxubee County Coroner RL Calhoun says Dantrell Franklin, 23, of Shuqualak died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

The investigation is ongoing.
