VIDEO: Airbus Holds Celebration To Honor Its Veterans
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- The Staff at Airbus Helicopters took time out to honor its veterans on Friday.
Forty percent of the company’s workforce are U.S. Veterans.
ROTC Cadets from Mississippi State presented the colors, and Chief Master Sergeant Johnathan Hover from the Columbus Air Force Base was the guest speaker.
Airbus said it hosts the event every year to show its veteran workers how much they appreciated.
“Our lives get so busy and there are so many other priorities that consume every day of our lives, and I think we forget that we should give thanks to our veterans past and present that have enabled us the opportunities to have the liberties and freedoms that we enjoy every day that keeps us busy. Once a year is not enough. They’re in it in and out every day and it’s something that we should be remembering,” said Chris Emerson, CEO of Airbus Helicopters.
The veterans had refreshments at the end of the ceremony ..
