Head Start Annual Prom in West Point

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – The gowns, the tuxedos, and the red carpet sure look like a high school prom except for one tiny thing.

These prom goers can’t even read.

Some local pre-schoolers had the chance to dress up Saturday night. The Clay County Head Start hosted a parent-child dance.

The event was held at the Mary Holmes gymnasium in West Point. Almost 200 three to five year-old children appeared to relish the chance to play dress up.
