STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Around the world in one day.

First graders at Sudduth Elementary in Starkville have been learning about Christmas holiday traditions of other countries.

Today, they shared what they’ve been learning with the rest of the school.

Each class chose a country and presented the traditions through crafts, story-telling, and music.

The rest of the student body visited the classrooms throughout the day.

“In every classroom we watch videos and they do a craft and so they are learning about the different traditions per country and then they compare what they are learning to what they know about in America,” says first grade teacher Victoria Caves.

Twelve classes at Sudduth participated in the activity.
