VIDEO: Santa To Make Appearance At Woodland Christmas Display

WOODLAND, Miss. (WCBI)- It’s a Mississippi tradition and a Christmas must see.

Over in Woodland millions of Christmas lights light up the area town.

It’s been a hot spot for dozens to drive through and see all the Christmas lights.

Saturday night at 5 p.m. Santa will be there passing out candy canes as drivers enter in the the city.

The city’s mayor says there’ll also be a few surprises guests.

“We’re having Santa. He’ll be giving out treats. We’ve got a special mailbox for the Santa letters for all the little girls and boys to bring their wishlists to, and there may be some surprise visits from other people so you never know,” said Mayor Patti Pettit.

Volunteers work tirelessly putting the lights up and keep them all shining bright. It’s been a Woodland tradition for the last eight years.
