Search For A New Assistant Police Chief

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus will soon start searching an assistant police chief.

The human resources department is preparing an advertisement for the position.

Officers from within the department will be allowed to apply.

Police Chief Fred Shelton hopes a hire can be made sometime next month.
