Search Efforts Require A Lot of Manpower
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Anytime there is a search for a missing person, a lot of help is needed.
That’s why Columbus Fire and Rescue reached out to the West Point Fire Department.
The West Point crew came out to assist with the overland search for Chris Reed on Wednesday.
Both fire departments were out on ATV’s, searching surrounding wooded areas and streets.
“You’ve got to cover a lot of area and you may be looking for a real small, like a person can get in a really small area, so you’ve got to cover a lot of area,” says West Point Fire Chief Ken Wilbourne.
Wilbourne says Columbus Fire and Rescue have assisted them with searches in the past.
