Monroe County Residents Die In Thursday Evening Crash

HAMILTON, Miss. (WCBI) – Two Hamilton residents are dead following a Thursday night head on collision.

Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley says 32 year old Brandi Jo Barnes and 54 year old Malcolm L Houk Jr. both died in the 7:27 PM accident.

Barnes was heading west on Hamilton Road when her car collided with Houk’s pickup which was eastbound on Hamilton Road near the Grubb Springs Road intersection.

Gurley says Barnes died at the scene from multiple trauma while Mr. Houk died later Thursday evening from internal injuries.

Both drivers were not wearing seat belts.
