Celebrating Growth And Economic Development In The Area

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI)- Business and community leaders were toasting to a successful year in West Point.

Dozens gathered Thursday night for the 92nd annual Growth Alliance Banquet.

Everyone was celebrating the economic growth and accomplishments this past year.

The area saw 18 new businesses come in, resulting in many several new jobs.

“It’s important that we keep growing economically because it brings more jobs to the area, and that’s just good for the whole Golden Triangle and it also brings more tourism and tourism dollars to the economy,” said Lisa Klutts, Director of Community Development of Growth Alliance.

During the banquet, Anna Jones and Tom Storey were inducted into the West Point Hall of Fame.
