Judge rejects plea agreement in coach videotape case

ABERDEEN (WCBI) – A major twist in the case of a former Kossuth coach accused of videotaping girls in the locker room of Kossuth Middle School.

Micah Wilbanks was scheduled to be sentenced Thursday on a federal charge of Sexual Exploitation of Children, but instead found out he is going to trial.

Judge Mike Mills has rejected the plea agreement Wilbanks entered back in October. Court records did not specify why Mills did the about-face on the plea arrangement.

Wilbanks is now scheduled to stand trial June 10 in Aberdeen.
