WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – A West Point church takes time to give back to the community.

Third Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church treated nearly 800 people to an early Thanksgiving lunch on Wednesday.

Church members have been preparing for the feast since Monday.

Dressing, turkey, and all of the other thanksgiving favorites lined the table for everyone to share.

“We had the police department and the fire department out and involving the community, to feed the community, because in my opinion, with all that’s been going on with the people in Sutherland Springs, I think this is a good light to shed on the church,” says Pastor Randy Conley.

Members also delivered plates to residents who couldn’t make it the church.
