Alabama Man Charged With Capital Murder

TUSACALOOSA, Ala. (AP) – Police say they have arrested a man for capital murder after finding the body of a 43-year-old man in a car.

Al.com (http://bit.ly/1Z8Hd2v ) reports that Steven Pickett was arrested Sunday and faces a capital murder charge for the death of Barrie Riggs. Tuscaloosa Police Lt. K.T. Hart says officers got a report of a shooting and found Riggs’ body in a parked car.

It’s not clear from online jail records if Pickett has an attorney. He’s being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail.

Hart says investigators believe the murder was related to drugs.
