Alabama Man Dies In Morning Fire

MARION COUNTY , AL (WCBI) – An early morning fire has claimed the life of a Marion County, Alabama man.

Sheriff Kevin Williams says it appears that 40 year old Kevin Pickens died in the pre dawn blaze at his 4321 Highway 48 residence.  An autopsy will confirm that Pickens is the man found inside the home. His wife and 9 year old son were able to escape the flames. The Bear Creek, Craft and Haleyville Fire departments helped control the fire.
